Dating is not on the decline: a message from our founding matchmaker

We’re hearing so much in the news lately that portrays the world to be in a downward spiral socially, economically and for many professionally. Whilst there’s truth and weight in the words shared by the media outlets we also have our own thoughts on the matter, particularly relative to matters of the heart. There is a saying that is so true of 2020, so far. We are sure you might agree.

“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass,

it’s about learning to dance in the rain”

What we want to share with you is a little piece of positivity because it just feels like there isn’t enough of that going around right now. You see, when it comes to adverse times in the world there is a significant rise in dating, committed relationships and finding love; a positive correlation if you like. I’ve seen it before in the dating industry over the last decade of work in the love space, especially in the last political and economic downturn, we saw it again during a world pandemic and we are bound to see it continue to positively correlate during any hurdles that are coming our way.

We wanted to weigh in on this to let you know we remain positive about your journey to partnering, however that looks, we’re going to continue to create, connect and build opportunities for you to meet other like-minded singles because in times like these connecting together, no matter your relationship status, is what the world needs.

More love, more laughter and more togetherness.

We’d like to encourage you to take a moment to step away from social media, the news and anything right now that you feel isn’t serving you, growing you or making you happy. Even if just for a few days to reassess where you’re at, what you want and why not choose instead to surround yourself by people and experiences that will add to your life and make the journey exceptional.

Otherwise, what’s it all for?

We want you to know that we receive enquiries for the love search every day, testimonials regularly to the dating experience we provide and requests for future events. Connecting and togetherness are here to stay and so are we.  If you’re in the UK right now, as are our team, it’s set to rain this weekend. But why not, instead, learn to dance in it, let go of anything you’re holding on to and let the storm pass. We know you’ll see things a little differently because we really do and we wanted to share it with you.

Big love to you all,

Sarah Louise Ryan & The Love Connections Matchmaking Team
